Weaving

In this series, each work is a double layered paper cut-out, playing with geometric patterning with the focus on titling the angle of the cut square grid in halfs, thus creating triangles. In this play with a moire effect, the for- and background get woven into each other by optical motion, the visibility of the lines shifts according to angle and light.

All works are 70 x70 cm, made on 200-250 grams acid free drawing paper and manually cut with scalpel. The foreground is drawn upon with color pencil and the background is either acrylics or aqua intaglio ink.
